Step 1 of 5 · Turn on trackingTheme settings → App embeds → Affiliate tracking. This is what credits sales to the right affiliate.

Before you start

  • Your commission rate decided
  • A PayPal business account, if you'll pay by PayPal
  • A CSV of affiliates and their codes, if you're switching

Setup steps

  1. Install AFLT and choose a plan

    Apps › AFLT › Plans

    Free includes one program with link and coupon tracking and no fees. Paid plans add unlimited programs and automation, plus a performance fee on approved referral sales that is capped every 30 days.

  2. Turn on the tracking embed

    Online Store › Themes › Customize › App embeds › Affiliate tracking

    Switch on Affiliate tracking and save. Without it, link clicks can't be credited. The AFLT home page shows a green check once it's on.

    This is the step most often missed. Do it first.

  3. Set your commission

    AFLT › Programs

    Set a percentage or flat rate. Add special rates for chosen products, and decide whether to pay on new customers only or for the customer's lifetime (Growth).

  4. Brand your sign-up page and portal

    AFLT › Displays

    Add your logo, headline and perks. Share the sign-up page link on your site, in emails and on social. Approved affiliates log in to the portal to get links, coupons and media.

  5. Connect payouts

    AFLT › Settings › Payouts

    Connect PayPal, or turn on store credit or gift card payouts. Set a minimum payout and an approval delay to cover your return window.

  6. Import or approve affiliates

    AFLT › Affiliates › Import

    Upload a CSV from your previous app; existing links and codes keep working. Or approve new applicants from the Affiliates page.

  7. Approve referrals and pay

    AFLT › Referrals

    Review referrals (suspicious ones are flagged), approve them, then pay from Payments.

After setup

  • Upload product photos and captions to the media gallery.
  • Use Motivation to set bonuses and auto-tiers for top performers.
  • Use Outreach to email your whole program about launches.

Troubleshooting

Sales from a link aren't tracked.

Make sure the Affiliate tracking app embed is on and saved, and test in a private window by clicking the link and checking out.

A referral was flagged.

AFLT flags patterns like self-referrals. Open the referral to see why, then approve or reject it.

PayPal payouts fail.

Check that PayPal is connected under Settings → Payouts and that each affiliate has a PayPal email on file.
